Black Mold Removal in Seminole

Black Mold Removal in Seminole. A Seminole condo owner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a large amount of mold found in their Seminole condo. The Seminole condo owner lives up north for part of the year and lives here in the Tampa Bay area for the remainder of the year. The Seminole condo owner returned to Florida to find black mold growing near the Air Conditioner handler. While the Seminole Florida condo owners were out of town, the Air Conditioner handler drip pan filled with water and started seeping over the pan. This water saturated a nearby wall and over time the mold growth occurred. It doesn’t take much water or humidity for mold growth to appear. Once Florida building materials are saturated with water, mold and black mold can start to grow and form in as little as 48 hours. As you can see in the pictures below, the proper containment is needed in order to successfully remove the mold from Seminole properties. Mold can be caused by high humidity as well as a water leak. If you see mold or black mold in your Seminole home or business, do not disturb it as it can easily spread to other areas of the property.

Black Mold Removal Tampa

Black Mold Removal Tampa. A St. Petersburg homeowner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a black mold removal project. Black mold grows after the effects of water damage. Water damage can be caused by leaking plumbing pipes, rain, leaking HVAC systems and even humidity. Mold and black mold are very common in Florida. Even if water isn’t spilled or leaked into a property, mold can grow and thrive off of the amount of humidity found in Florida air. Many people think that mold can be killed and this will eliminate the mold problem. In order to complete a mold project accurately, the mold must be removed from the property it affects instead of simply killed. Even if mold spores are “killed”, they can become dormant and can be re-activated if exposed to high amounts of humidity or water in the future. Water leaks are the most common start to mold problems. As you can see in the pictures below, once a property is heavily infested with mold, it is an extensive project in order to remove the mold properly.

Mold Found In Treasure Island

While performing a plumbing repair in beautiful Treasure Island, Florida the St. Petersburg plumber found mold growth inside of a wall and ceiling. A very small leak on a copper water line caused black mold growth in this Treasure Island home. The leak went undetected in a wall behind some wall paper. The homeowner had no clue there was a water or mold problem until the wallpaper began to discolor. It took weeks for the wallpaper to discolor which is why the black mold growth was able to grow as much as it did. Black mold grows in areas with high moisture. A plumbing pipe leak in a wall is a great place for mold to begin to grow especially if undetected or undisturbed for any length of time. Once the  St. Petersburg plumber finished the repair, he put plastic over the holes to ensure the mold would not spread further into this Treasure Island home.
