A Brandon homeowner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a black mold removal project. The Brandon homeowner had a sewage backup occur when they were away from their property. The sewage backup caused the walls 2 feet up from the floor to become saturated with water. When the Brandon homeowner arrived to find the mess, they simply cleaned all the sewage off of the floor. When walls and studs become saturated with moisture, this provides a prime breeding ground for mold and black mold growth. As you can see in the pictures below, we had to remove the drywall and clean all of the wall studs in order to ensure the mold was completely removed from this project. Once black mold begins to grow, it will grow inside of walls where you cannot see it. With our infrared water inspection equipment we are able to see through walls where moisture hides. In Brandon, hidden moisture usually means hidden mold.
