Mold Inspection Bradenton Florida. A Bradenton homeowner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a small amount of mold found on the baseboards in their Bradenton home. In many cases, where a small amount of mold is located, there could be a great deal of mold found inside of walls or behind the baseboards. Where nasty black mold is found, moisture must be present in order for the mold to continue to grow and reproduce. Without moisture, Florida black mold cannot grow. Mold and mildew and black mold require only moisture in addition to a food source such as wood or drywall in order to form a mold colony. Mold colonies release tiny seeds or mold spores which spread throughout the area in order to form other colonies. Once you can visibly see mold and mildew or Florida black mold in your home, a mold colony has already formed. Many people try and wipe mold colonies with a rag or spray them with bleach in order to “kill” them or get rid of them. By wiping mold colonies, or spraying them with a solution you are risking causing mold spores to go airborne and contaminating other areas of your Bradenton home or business.

Indian Shores Black Mold Removal. An Indian shores condo owner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a black mold removal project. The Indian Shores condo sat vacant for several months after the tenants of the condo were evicted. Because of the high humidity in the Indian Area, mold was able to form throughout the condo without a water leak occurring. Relative humidity levels need to remain below 60% indoors in the Indian Shores area in order to prevent the effects of mold growth. Once a water leak occurs or high humidity is present in indoor environments in Florida, it can take as little as 24 to 48 hours for mold and or black mold to begin to form on walls, ceilings or floors. As you can see in the pictures below, many different species of mold formed in this particular condo. Black mold is the most common mold found in Indian Shores condo’s and homes but other species are present and can and will grow. The danger to mold to humans depends on many things including how sensitive people are to the mold once they are subjected to it. Once water leaks occur, it is important to minimize the effects of the water damage as soon as possible to avoid mold growth seen in the pictures below.

A Clearwater homeowner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a very large amount of mold found in their AC handler closet. The Clearwater homeowner doesn’t live in Clearwater throughout the entire year. Upon arriving back in the Clearwater area, they noticed a very prevalent musty smell in their Clearwater home. The Clearwater homeowner tracked the heavy musty smell to the AC handler closet. As you can see in the pictures below, a very large amount of black mold was found in the AC closet as well as in the surrounding areas and adjacent walls. The AC condensate line plugged up while they were away and the AC condensate pan leaked water onto the walls and floor surrounding the AC handler. Since nobody was there to clean up the water and properly dry the walls, black mold began to form in all of these areas. Over time water leaks can cause black mold problems as identified in the pictures below.
