Black Mold Removal in Seminole. A Seminole condo owner contacted I Destroy Moldin regards to a large amount of mold found in their Seminole condo. The Seminole condo owner lives up north for part of the year and lives here in the Tampa Bay area for the remainder of the year. The Seminole condo owner returned to Florida to find black mold growing near the Air Conditioner handler. While the Seminole Florida condo owners were out of town, the Air Conditioner handler drip pan filled with water and started seeping over the pan. This water saturated a nearby wall and over time the mold growth occurred. It doesn’t take much water or humidity for mold growth to appear. A St. Petersburg Florida homeowner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to a black mold problem they found in their closet. The St. Petersburg homeowner noticed a musty smell in a closet behind a bathroom. With the musty smell, they figured that there was a problem with moisture or humidity in the closet. The St. Petersburg homeowner decided to buy a bucket of damp rid to help absorb some of the moisture. If you have to buy damp rid to place anywhere inside of your home, there is a humidity or moisture problem. Damp rid is designed for garages, basements, etc. Damp rid should not have to be used inside of Florida homes. As it turns out, this particular issue was being caused by a small water leak on the tub drain. Leak detection can be a frustrating process and must be performed by a team of professionals. Once a water leak occurs, it can lead to water damage and mold growth. As you can see in the pictures below, mold growth formed on the back of the closet walls adjacent to where the leak occurred.

A condo unit owner contacted I Destroy Mold in regards to black mold found after an AC leak. HVAC systems remove moisture from the air when warm air passes over cold coils. This condensate drips into a pan and then is routed outside of the property. The drain line that takes the condensate water out of this property was clogged and the pan filled up. Once the pan fills and the water begins to run over the pan and into walls, the walls become damp or saturated. The AC drain line clog was repaired but the water damage to the area around the HVAC condenser was not dried properly. If water from leaking pipes or roofs is not dried properly it can lead to water damage and possible mold growth. Water damage is much easier to correct than mold growth. Once mold growth starts inside of walls it is very difficult to locate and remove or remediate. We can find hidden leaks and water damage with our infrared water inspection equipment.

Due to the health of the elderly woman, she typically did not go upstairs in her home. The upstairs bathroom door was shut and the AC vent going into the bathroom was shut. With the humidity in this bathroom rising, a perfect environment for mold growth was formed. Mold began to grow on the walls, ceilings and shower area. It is very important to control humidity levels in indoor environments in order to control possible mold growth. If you have a water damage issue, or a water leak issue, it’s very important to correct it as soon as possible in order to prevent possible mold growth.

The bank would not allow the money to be loaned on this property until the black mold was removed. The black mold started in the bathroom of this Brandon property and then the AC unit was turned off when the property went into foreclosure.
